Dennis Jordan Speaks at the Correctional Work Center

May 2, 2025:  Dennis Jordan stands in front of a room full of adults in custody at the Rutherford County Correctional Work Center and did something incredibly brave—he spoke openly about his daughter Shelby and her battle with addiction.

Shelby lost her life to fentanyl poisoning on August 14, 2019. Her story is one of love, struggle, and the devastating impact of substance use. Dennis shared not only his grief but also his hope—that by speaking the truth of his family’s journey, he might help someone else find the strength to choose a different path.
